Mid-State Tile has been in St. Cloud since 1931, and our shop and showroom are at 402 Lincoln Ave NE. Five generations of one family, our own crew, and a free on-site measure in all five towns.
Being near the shop has one real advantage: you can come look at the tile. Bring a cabinet door, a countertop sample or a paint chip to the showroom on Lincoln Ave NE and hold it up against the real thing before you decide. No appointment needed. Walk in any weekday, 8:00 to 4:30, and call ahead if you want someone free to walk the showroom with you.
After that it works the way it always has. We come out and measure, you get a written price before any work begins, and the people who show up to set the tile are our own crew.
Our shop is on the east side, on Lincoln Ave NE. The city runs across three counties, Stearns, Benton and Sherburne, and we work on both sides of the river. Older houses near downtown and the university often have wood subfloors that have been moving for decades, so those get checked for flex before any tile goes down.
North of St. Cloud along the Mississippi. Plenty of Sartell homes were built in the last thirty years and came with a fiberglass shower insert. Replacing one with a tile shower is a common job.
Across the river in Benton County, and the closest of the five to our shop on the east side of St. Cloud.
West of St. Cloud along Division Street. A short drive for a measure, and a short drive to the showroom to pick tile.
About ten miles west of the shop, home of the College of Saint Benedict. Far enough to be its own town, close enough that scheduling a measure works the same as it does in St. Cloud.
Showers, floors, backsplashes, fireplaces, natural stone and repairs. The same work, the same crew and the same written price wherever the job is.
